The Friends of the Brunswick-Glynn County Library is an association of persons interested in books, reading, and better public libraries. The Friends meet regularly and all meetings are open to the public. The gatherings provide opportunities for people to share ideas, learn, and enjoy programs of literary, historical, visual and performing arts, and civic interest. We encourage you to complete and mail our membership form to join us!
March RIF Program Held at the LibraryMarch was RIF month for Goodyear and Burroughs-Molette Elementary Schools. The Friend’s sponsored the last of three book distributions this year with a trip to the library. These third graders were treated to a tour of the library by Karen Larrick who also gave them information about the Summer Reading Program. In addition the students enjoyed a story, read by the Reading Gypsy, Nancy Butler, BUT the main purpose was the opportunity to choose two books to take home. Volunteers, Betty McKenzie, Bernice Singleton, Loraine Koenn, Cathy Co, Pam Paige, Sandy Storino, and FOL president, Margie Young all helped to show that Reading Is not only Fundamental, but also Fun!
