Friends of the Library Annual Meeting and Check Presentation - November 9, 2014
The Friends held their annual meeting and attendees were treated to an insightful history of the Brunswick Library provided by guest speaker Clyde Taylor. His mother, Hildreth Fricks Taylor, was the longtime chair of the Brunswick Glynn County Library System and the driving force in providing quality library services to Glynn County citizens, and Clyde and his fellow Board of Commissioners were instrumental in the creation of our County's Marshes of Glynn Library System. The meeting concluded with the Friend's presentation of a check to the Library for $15,000 made possible through our successful fundraisers. In photo: Friends President Joan Shinnick gives check to Library Manager Lori Hull with portrait of Hildreth Fricks Taylor in the background.
